Razer Hammerhead True Wireless X - The Review

Razer Inc. is an American-Singaporean multinational technology company that designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, financial services, and gaming hardware. Razer's products are generally targeted at gamers and include gaming laptops, gaming tablets, and PC peripherals such as mice, audio devices, keyboards, mouse mats, and gamepads.

The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless X earbuds are decent, but not the best. They lack THX certification, unlike the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro. The bass is very strong, but because the earbuds don't quite form a tight seal compared to in-ears, you'll hear some outside noise. The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless X earbuds are good for sports and fitness, as they are small, well-built, and rated IPX4 for water resistance. They have a low latency gaming mode. The sound quality is decent but not the best, with a strong bass that works well for shooters and gunfire. The mids are a bit too strong and the highs are clear but weak compared to the other sounds. The Hammerhead True Wireless X support Bluetooth version 5.2 and offer a latency-reduced wireless connection for mobile games as well as movies in Gaming Mode. They also have flexible touch control and sound customisation that can be made via an app.

The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless X earbuds feature custom-tuned 13mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.2 with auto-pairing, and Google Fast Pair. They also have touch-enabled controls that allow you to control your music and calls, enable gaming mode, and activate your smartphone's voice assistant. The earbuds have a low latency gaming mode of 60ms. The battery life of the earbuds is six hours on buds and 18 hours in the case. The earbuds are IPX4 splash and sweat-resistant. They come with LED lights that illuminate the three-headed snake logo on the earbuds.

The Razer Audio mobile app allows you to select various EQ settings or customize your own, control lighting effects and brightness, remap touch gestures, check battery status on the earbuds, enable low latency gaming mode, and more.

The earbuds have a touch-sensitive zone where you can do various gestures such as tapping or tapping and holding. You can do up to a triple-tap. These gestures let you pause, play, rewind, forward....

They are IPX4 splash and sweat-resistant and come with glowing Razer logos on each earbud. The wireless earbuds are comfortable to wear for long periods of time and have good speech intelligibility during phone calls.

Whether the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless X is good depends on your preferences. If you're looking for an affordable pair of wireless earbuds that offer low latency gaming mode and decent sound quality, then they might be worth considering. However, if you're looking for high-quality sound with noise cancellation features, then there might be better options available on the market.
